Asteroid is not hitting the earth, Relax! - NASA confirms

According to astrophysicist Gianluca Masi from the Virtual Telescope project from Italy who has managed to take a photograph of the asteroid, the asteroid will be flying by earth at a distance of approximately 6.3 million kilometres in April.

Although the asteroid has been labelled "potentially hazardous" NASA is certain that the asteroid does not pose any threat to earth. The asteroid's activity has been monitored since 1988 and it's one if the first asteroid moving close enough to be photographed.

So, all worries should be directed towards COVID-19, as the pandemic seems to be hitting us harder than any virus. For Asteroid 52768, it will be orbiting earth at enough safe distance so we clearly have nothing to worry about.
